New hire at Agilia

Mark Karimi has started as Technical support manager, Poultry Nutritionist in Agilia.

Mark studied Agriculture Science at The University of Shiraz (Iran) and started his first career as a farm manager. After moving to the UK in 2000, he did his second degree in Food Science at The University of Nottingham.

He started working for the biggest poultry producer in the UK, Moy Park in 2005, and eventually became a senior broiler farms manager, responsible for more than 6 million birds on the floor. Working in such an environment, encouraged him to get his Msc degree in Applied Poultry Science from The University of Glasgow and started his new career as a poultry commercial nutritionist in Devenish Nutrition International. He had an opportunity to travel around the world visiting and working with many different poultry operations for more than three years.

He joined Biomin GmbH as a poultry technical manager in Oct 2016 in order to support poultry sales managers in numbers of countries within the EU and beyond. 
Mark’s interest is to find the best ways of nutrition and farm management techniques in order to maximizing productivity, health and welfare in commercial poultry farms.
